Plug connector manufacturer ept recently supplemented its line of press-fit and solder connectors with a Type C male multipoint connector according to DIN 41612 / IEC 60603-2. This male multipoint connector has features that make it especially suitable for the reflow soldering process. The new THTR (through hole technology reflow) variant is made of a plastic that is especially resistant to high temperatures. This, in turn, complies with the requirements for soldered electric and electronic devices, J-STD-020D.

The THTR plug connectors are suitable for the reflow soldering with lead-free solder and peak temperatures of up to 260°C. The DIN plug connectors are used in a very wide range of environments with various mounting processes.

The Type C plug connectors are also available as usual in press-fit versions or for other soldering methods. Samples of the Type C 103-40064TH are already available. Other models with other pin configurations or boardlocks are available on request.
